Beneath this text you will find a link to my first version of the English manual. Note that the previous manual was from Matrix and not updated since the release. So now you get the Phobetor version with rules for 1.09 which is done in the same fashion the German one is:

Hi Ronald,

Happy to have an updated manual (which is not always the case in other games).

4 remarks:

-from a general point of view what struck me at the beginning and that I find the background too dark. Maybe it’s the black writing on a brown background?

-there are white lines around the images:

-some image titles could be better presented (top and bottom image):

-an image title has not been translated into English:

welcome to the forum ! Good to see you here.

Glad you like the updated manual. The goal is to keep both languages up-to-date in the future, if new relevant features (like the unit history) are added.

To you points:

1.On my screens the contrast was actually good so far. I can try to lighten the background image to increase it.

2. I tested the .pdf with Acrobat Reader DC, in the Brave browser as well as in the Edge browser. None showed the lines you have in your screenshots. Which program did you use ? It seems its rather a problem with that.

3. In what way you suggest i present the image titles ?

4. Not only the title was not translated, i forgot to add a screenshot with English texts! Will be changed asap

As always you find those things. Much appreciated as it keeps me sharp and improves the stuff i do.

2. The white lines were only present in the Firefox browser for preview. Once the file is downloaded and viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC the white lines are gone.

3. Each image has in the title Image 1,2.... In the text there is apparently never a reference to the number of the image so it seems useless to me.

1. Here is an example of the Sudden Strike 4 manual (in French) with black writing on brown background:

good that the lines were only a temporary problem.

I see your point with the images numbers. The idea was to have some order in it and to be able to use it as reference in the text. But none was made so far. I leave it for now even its a bit useless.

Thanks for the example for a better contrast. As soon as i have finished the stuff i am currently working on, i will rework the background.

So the background in both version is brighter -> much better contrast.

Also i fixed image 25 in the English manual:

During 2013 (first release) i had not the energy/time to do the manual & logo myself which i always regretted a bit. For the next release all is done in one flow and up-to-date. I hope i can deliver some more stuff.

Have you seen this poll though:

Which campaign are more interested in ?

Participation will help to focus on the more popular content first (eventually all would be nice to have).

As to Army General, i wish i had the time to do more with that, too. But as all of this is more of a hobby at this point, little will happen with it.
