The attack on Tula starts in the last days of October with only a few divisions and tir infantry regiment Grossdeutschland. The attackers come close to the city but cannot take it as it is heavily fortified.

The second attack starts in the middle of November together with the main attack on Moscow. (In the 1941 campaign scenario the attack only starts on November 15 and the attackers only have limited time, brilliant victory by December 5 or they have failed.)

2nd panzer group in this situation can either go for Kashira or make a ''limited encirclement'' - infantry divisions and artillery (the same artillery units from Bryansk scenario) attack the city while panzer divisions go after the Soviet units in the field and attack the artillery positions protecting the city. After that the panzers can either continue to Serpukhov or stay around Tula.

Those optimists in the HQ know how to draw arrows on their maps but actually doing the thing out in the field is a little different and the panzers may just run out of fuel; Typhoon can still meet its objectives but too much optimism is not good in this situation as it may lead to failure.

The map would cover the area of Tula up to the river south of Serpukhov (without showing Serpukhov or anything on the Northern coast of the river.)

For this attack the 2nd panzer group will finally get its flaks as there are no fighters available; every fighter is needed for Moscow main direction. Those two regiments of JG 27 could make some difference but they have been sent to Africa...

The first attacks on Tula would be of regiment scale and last a few days; not enough for a large scenario. Maybe a small standalone one but that will not be a part of this campaign.

The Moscow map is a 36x35 rectangle, covering the area between Volokolamsk, Klin, Kolomna and Serpuhov.

A similar map of Tula - also a snow map of the same size, with Tula roughly in the center, 4-6 hxes large. It would have Kashira in North East, Ischera South West and Stalinogorsk South East. A road and a railway goes from Tula to Serpuhov (which is off map as well as the river south of Serpuhov.

So far only a rough drawing in my notebook, pictures will come later.

Assuming that the 2nd panzer group needs some time to gather, the attacks would start on November 15, just like the attack on Moscow. Tula is the main objective, the rest depends on the fuel for panzers. They should be able to go halfway the map even if they stop there.

Tuls will be heavily fortified with minefields in some places.

Weather and other conditions will be the same as for Moscow.
